I've spent most of my career teaching theatre in higher ed, but I believe instructional design makes the best use out of my skills and experience.
As a teacher, I construct syllabi, plan lessons, and develop original instructional materials. I use diverse approaches to connect with and appeal to different learners. I know how to balance PowerPoint-based lectures, student-led discussions, and interactive games to keep students focused and promote better knowledge retention.
As a theatre director, I specialize in capturing an audience's attention with clear storytelling and a cohesive artistic vision. I collaborate with other artists to build a unique and aesthetically pleasing world for an audience by a pre-determined deadline.
I also have experience as a producer - in theatre and podcasting - which has honed my project management skills. I excel at keeping projects on schedule, under budget, and within scope.
